At the end of the ’30 years in Piazza Valdesi the newsboy would place newspapers on a box in the street. It takes us all the way back to 1973 to find the kiosk that welcomed Biagio Marino and his sons Giuseppe and Franco; it is said that his grandfather wore a black apron, the bell, to defend himself from the black dust of the newspapers. Her niece Lia Marino and her husband Giuseppe Cannatella took over when it opened at 6 in the morning and closed at night. Michela Cannatella now represents the fourth generation, and her grandfather's wooden bench is still prominently displayed in the kiosk; in the summer, foreign newspapers are also featured.
