Charming office in a beautiful bourgeois palace not far from the port; furnished with antique wooden furniture and model ships, terrazzo marble floors. The paintings tell the story of the company, particularly the portrait of the company's founder, Florio insurance agent Ambrogio Castellano, and the bronze profile of Vittorio Emanuele Orlando, longtime Prime Minister and his son-in-law.
The company is run by his heirs, Carlo Orlando with his son, Eng. George. They are dedicated to maritime appraisals for both naval and cargo bodies, as well as consultancy for maritime, land and air insurance companies. In addition to the value of ships for insurance, the Castellanos are commissioners of damage. They also carry out Civil, Industrial and Plant Engineering work.
To mark the company's 150th anniversary, they told seafaring stories in an excellent illustrated book.
