Some professional passions are revealed at a young age and continue throughout life, with enviable determination. So Vincenzo Di Gaetano fell in love with pastry making at the age of 10 until he became head pastry chef at Birreria Italia. In 1965 he opened his own place –just a pastry shop– amidst gardens and a building boom. Now the children Giuseppe and Monica continue, while the third generation is being prepared.
